The Youth Wellness Hub is thrilled to announce a new partnership with Spark Employment Services to bring youth-focused employment support directly to the Hub. This collaboration officially kicks off on Thursday, July 23, providing youth in the community with essential resources to navigate their employment journeys.
The partnership reinforces Youth Wellness Hub’s commitment to being a one-stop-shop for youth. A recent photo captured at the Hub features the Director of the Hub Tracy Bracken, the Manager of the Hub Debbie Dixon, and the CEO of Spark Employment Services Chantal Makela, celebrating the launch of this partnership and initiative.
Through this partnership, Spark Employment Services will offer three dedicated programs at the Hub, namely the:
- Help Wanted Club: A drop-in style program offering hands-on support with job searches, resume writing, job applications, and practicing interview skills.
- Get SET (Skills, Education, and Training): This program helps youth strengthen foundational skills, including reading, writing, numeracy, digital literacy, and essential workplace competencies. It offers both group-based and one-on-one tailored coaching.
- Francophone Navigator Program: This program provides Francophone job seekers with culturally relevant employment navigation services. It includes one-on-one support in French, connections to employment and training opportunities, and outreach to community resources, offering guidance to reduce barriers and improve employment outcomes
Chantal Makela, CEO of Spark Employment Services, shared her enthusiasm for the partnership: “At Spark Employment Services, we believe every young person deserves access to the tools, guidance, and opportunities they need to build a successful future. Partnering with the Youth Wellness Hub allows us to meet youth where they are and provide employment services in a welcoming, accessible environment. We’re excited to work alongside Compass to help young people build confidence, develop valuable skills, and connect with meaningful employment opportunities.”
