Spark Up Your Summer! was a vibrant outdoor employment and community celebration hosted by Spark Employment Services, welcoming over 400 attendees to our main event. We are deeply grateful for the generous support of United Way Centraide North East Ontario, whose funding helped make this event possible.

Our goal was to create a welcoming space where job seekers, employers, and community partners could connect in a relaxed environment—sparking new opportunities and celebrating community spirit.

Building on the success of the previous year, this year’s event grew bigger and better—featuring more employers, job readiness workshops, new activities, an expanded selection of food vendors, and exciting additions like a celebrity dunk tank in support of Spark Employment Services.

Event Highlights:

1. Over 20 employers and community service providers participated.
2. Attendees joined 5 hands-on employment readiness workshops.
3. Games, prizes, and raffles kept the energy high throughout the day.
4. Local food trucks and live DJ entertainment added to the summer atmosphere.
5. Attendees explored career opportunities through a virtual reality station.
6. Community leaders and special guests took turns in the crowd-favourite dunk tank.
7. The Sudbury Women’s Centre and Closet Share provided free interview clothing for job seekers.

Spark Up Your Summer! Pop-ups:

Leading up to the event, Spark Up Your Summer! Pop-up Booths were held across Greater Sudbury in the South End, Lively, Garson, Hanmer, and the New Sudbury Centre to raise awareness and engage community members. These outreach efforts, combined with the main celebration, brought the total attendance to more than 500 participants.
