Is there a cost to access Spark’s services?
No. All of our services, workshops, and training programs are free for participants.
Who is eligible to use Spark’s services?
Spark serves individuals and businesses in the Greater Sudbury Area seeking and offering gainful employment.
Client Eligibility:
- Must provide proof of date of birth and SIN
- Must meet Ontario’s legal working age requirements
- Must reside in Ontario
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada (Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or refugee claimants with a 900-series SIN)
Employer Eligibility:
Must be licensed in Ontario and comply with all laws
- Must maintain WSIB coverage and third-party insurance
- Must not be involved in mass layoffs

Where does Spark get their funding?
Spark Employment Services receives funding from the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training andSkills Development (MLITSD), Boréal – Service System Manager (SSM), Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC), as well as corporate sponsors and donors.
Do you have jobs to offer me?
Spark is not a placement agency and does not have jobs to offer on the spot. Instead, we work with you to identify your skills, explore your career goals, and connect you to meaningful employment opportunities through job matching, training, and support.
